Sarah & Peter's Story

Sarah and Peter have been involved in a relationship for 4 months. In the beginning they had fun and spent a lot of time together. Sarah's friends wanted more time with her so she started spending time with them too. Peter felt upset and jealous that she started spending time with her friends again. One day after school they started arguing about Sarah and her friends. Peter was very angry and called Sarah names and grabbed her arm hard, saying that she was not to hang around with those sluts any more. He said he'd better not catch her doing it or else! The next day Peter apologized, and gave her a necklace. He said he was just feeling hurt and promised never to hurt her again.

A month Later, Sarah found Peter getting angry with her again for not paying enough attention to him. She decided to stop seeing her friends so that he would get angry with her. He found other reasons to cut her down  and make her feel bad; she was dressing too sexy, wearing too much make-up which made other guys look at her.

One day Sarah was waiting for the bus and talking to another guy. Peter didn't say anything until after they got off the bus, but she could already tell he was mad because he didn't sit with her and he gave her dirty looks during the whole bus ride. When they got off the bus Peter immediately started yelling at her, accusing her of wanting to be with the other guy and not him. Though Sarah tried to reassure Peter that she only wanted to date him, he became more and more angry, yelling even louder. Eventually he became so angry that he hit Sarah in the face and called her a bitch and a slut and told her that she deserved what she got for flirting with another guy. Sarah did not tell anyone what happened.
