Institutional Advocacy/Public Policy InitiativesLife Span staff provide training to professionals who work with victims of domestic violence to ensure the responsive and appropriate delivery of public services to battered women and their children by the medical community, criminal justice system, law enforcement, educators, and social service providers.
Life span also provides outreach and education within the sexual assault service community regarding the Civil No Contact Order remedy for victims of non-intimate partner sexual violence. Life Span Community InvolvementAdvocacy on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault is provided by members of our staff, board, and volunteers. We speak before civic groups, businesses, religious institutions, and schools. This service is provided to reduce the community's acceptance and tolerance of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to increase the overall community awareness of the prevalence and detrimental nature of these crimes. Please Contact Life Span if you are interested in requesting a speaker or scheduling training.
